Fairwinds Technologies has been selected to supply Comtech’s Troposcatter Family of Systems (FOS) to the U.S. Army. The contract was made through the NASA SEWP V catalog.
Comtech’s Troposcatter FOS are highly transportable turnkey tropospheric communications systems, designed to set up quickly and withstand severe conditions to support deployed warfighters. Troposcatter Communications do not rely on satellite capacity and operates in satellite-constrained environments, scattering microwave radio signals off the lower atmosphere to enable beyond-line-of-sight (BLOS) communications with low probability of intercept and detection.
