ANNAPOLIS, Maryland (October 30, 2023) Fairwinds Technologies is pleased to announce that it has received Third Party Assessment Certification through the Open Trusted Technology Provider™ Standards (O-TTPS) group. The certification, part of ISO 20243, is designed to provide security and integrity assurance for commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) information and communications technology (ICT) products throughout the supply chain.
With today’s announcement, Fairwinds Technologies is now one of fewer than 15 companies in the United States to be third party assessed and certified through this standard. The company decided to pursue certification to underscore its commitment to customers and partners, most notably through its NASA Solutions for Enterprise-Wide Procurement (SEWP) contract.

As more federal agencies adopt supply chain risk management requirements, such certifications become vital. The standard includes best practices throughout all phases of a product’s life cycle: design, sourcing, build, fulfillment, distribution, sustainment, and disposal, thus enhancing the integrity of COTS ICT products and the security of their global supply chains.
